Awesomeness TV and Wet Seal Launch Branded Web Series

'The Intern' follows two young women working for the retailer

Dreamworks’ teen-targeted digital video network Awesomeness TV has teamed up with Wet Seal to produce a new branded series, The Intern.

The Intern follows two young women, high schooler Fiona and college student Nialani, who have scored internships at the retailer’s headquarters in California. The first episode (which currently has more than 82,000 views) begins with the women going through the interview process. They then have to complete different intern tasks, from assembling mannequins (it’s apparently a lot harder than it looks) to styling outfits.

The series debuted Nov. 25 and will continue to air weekly through December on the Awesomeness TV YouTube channel.

The Intern marks the first collaboration between Wet Seal and Awesomeness TV. While a spokesperson for Awesomeness couldn’t confirm whether there are any other Wet Seal branded series in the works, he hinted that the new series “opens up doors” for future projects.

In October, Awesomeness announced that it had signed a deal with another well-known teen brand, Hearst-owned Seventeen magazine, to launch a separate Seventeen-branded YouTube channel complete with original programming.
