With the first pitch of the 2017 World Series approaching, Twitter said there have been almost 13.5 million tweets related to Major League Baseball’s postseason since it began Oct. 3.

The three most-mentioned players from the American League champion Houston Astros since the start of the playoffs were:

  1. Jose Altuve (210,000 mentions since Oct. 3)
  2. Justin Verlander
  3. Dallas Keuchel

And the three Astros moments that were tweeted about the most were:

  1. Oct. 21: Astros beat the New York Yankees 4-0 to advance to the World Series.
