AppsFlyer: App Retargeting Conversions Jumped During Coronavirus Lockdowns

Installs spiked when the U.S. went into stay-at-home mode

Mobile attribution and data analytics provider AppsFlyer released its first The State of App Retargeting report, which analyzed retargeting campaigns worldwide across multiple application verticals.

In order to understand the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on retargeting, AppsFlyer’s report looked at two different time frames: a year-over-year comparison of January and February from 2018 through 2020, and “pre-Covid-19 data” from the end of February 2020 through April 2020.

Overall, AppsFlyer found that on a global level, 30% of mobile apps run retargeting campaigns and 35% of conversions were driven by retargeting.
