Another Round of Cuts at The Wall Street Journal

The Europe and Asia bureaus take a hit.

For the second time in three months, The Wall Street Journal is initiating a round of layoffs, this time targeting staff in its Asia and Europe bureaus. The cuts were first reported on in Politico. Details about the extent and nature of the cuts have not been disclosed.

In a statement relating to but not confirming the cuts, a spokesperson for WSJ parent company Dow Jones wrote that “This is ongoing work as part of the WSJ 2020 program announced last year.
