Andy Coulson Suing News Corp. Subsidiary Over Legal Fees

Company had been paying for Coulson's lawyers

Former News of the World editor Andy Coulson is suing the tabloid’s owner, News Corp. subsidiary News Group, for refusing to pay his legal fees, Sky News reports. After Coulson was arrested last summer in connection with the phone hacking scandal, it was discovered that News Corp. was still paying his legal fees, despite the fact that he hadn't been a company employee since 2007. The company subsequently said that it would end those payments.

Papers "regarding the termination of the payment for his legal action" were reportedly served to the U.K.
