Amy Astley Named Editor in Chief of Architectural Digest

The Teen Vogue editor moves on.

Condé Nast has named Amy Astley the new editor in chief of Architectural Digest. Astley previously served as the founding editor of Teen Vogue.

Prior to her time with Teen Vogue, Astley worked for Vogue and House & Garden.

“Amy’s leadership and creativity can be seen in the success of Teen Vogue, which she has built into the influential source of emerging fashion, beauty and culture for young women everywhere,” said Anna Wintour, Condé Nast artistic director and editor in chief of Vogue, in a statement.

Astley is succeeding Margaret Russell, who will stay on with Condé as a consultant on “arts and cultural special projects.”
