Ads on Instagram Stories Are Now Available With Objectives Besides Reach
Reach was joined by video views, traffic, conversions and mobile app installs
Instagram launched immersive, full-screen ads on Instagram Stories in January, making them available to all advertisers in March.
On Thursday, the Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network said in a blog post that it is moving beyond the original objective that the ad units launched with—reach—and adding four new objectives: video views, traffic, conversions and mobile application installs.
Instagram offered examples of brands using ads in Instagram Stories—Airbnb, Akbank and Ben and Jerry’s—adding in its blog post:
When first rolling out ads in Instagram Stories, we began by focusing on the reach objective to help businesses better target and reach the people they wanted to connect with.
