7 Twitter Tools to Help You Discover Great Content

These seven tools can help you discover great content to share on Twitter.

Tweeting once, twice, ten times per day can get you some great exposure, but it can also drain your creativity. Here are seven great tools that can help you find and create stellar content if you’re stuck.

1. Buffer

Although Buffer is most well-known as a scheduling tool, it can be a great source for content related to social media, productivity, marketing and other topics.

The “Suggestions” tab of the Buffer app is replenished with 25 new, highly-curated topics each day. With a click of a button, any of these 25 pieces of content can be added to your Buffer schedule, and tweeted directly from your account.

2. Buzzsumo

Buzzsumo is a content search tool that will show you the hottest tweets and content related to any search topic under the sun. Simply enter a term – like “content marketing”, “cupcakes” or “smartphones – and you can browse the most popular tweets about that topic from the past 24 hours to the past year.

3. Hashtagify

Hashtagify dubs itself the “most advanced Twitter hashtag search engine” – and with over 40 million hashtags in its repository, it certainly is powerful.

You can use this tool to search for popular hashtags related to your industry or niche, and include them in your tweets. Or, you can use these hashtags to perform Twitter searches, and see what others are currently tweeting about – so you can join in the conversation or start one of your own.

4. Hashtags.org

Another great hashtag search engine is Hashtags.org. Here, you can get an at-a-glance view of the most popular or trending hashtags right now, and you can enter any hashtag in their search engine to get basic data about how popular it is, related hashtags and more.

5. HootSuite

HootSuite is a robust social media tool. As a dashboard, it enables scheduling, team collaboration, analytics and more. But HootSuite also provides some content suggestions, similar to Buffer.

Once logged in, you can view HootSuite’s content suggestions in the “Publisher” tab. Here, they offer daily content suggestions tailored to what you’ve tweeted in the past – you can also enter your own topics and HootSuite will change its suggestions to match.

HootSuite’s suggestion tool is only available to Pro users.

6. Storify

Storify enables brands and individuals to collect social posts and weave them into a story. There are currently over 2 million stories on the service.

You can use Storify to curate existing conversations, but it’s also a great tool to help you find new content to share or conversations to join. By browsing Storify’s trending stories, you can get a good glimpse into what’s popular or interesting on social media in real-time, and use this to inform your own content.

7. Triberr

Triberr is a network where bloggers and other content producers share their content with each other, sparking conversations and social endorsements.

By creating an account, you can not only earn more exposure for the content you create, but you can also get inspired by the most popular stories being shared by other creators.
