Sources: Facebook's Project Spartan and iPad App Set to Launch Next Week
It's been held up by negotiations with Apple
Is Facebook finally ready to launch both its “Project Spartan” HTML5 mobile platform and long-awaited iPad app? According to TechCrunch, the platform and the app have been completed and could launch early next week.
Last week, TechCrunch’s Alexia Tsotsis found and posted several screenshots of what was believed to be the Spartan platform running on an iPhone. Apparently, Spartan had been ready for several months, but Facebook was waiting for its iPad app to be ready for launch so it could release the two together.
