Halloween Poll: Is Oreo or Tide's 'The Shining' Vine Best?

Season is ripe for six-second branded fun

Halloween is a scary good opportunity for brands to have fun with Twitter's nascent video platform, Vine.

Tide has been doing several Vine videos in the spirit of the holiday, including one that spoofs horror movie, "Carrie." Oreo, on the other hand, has posted a Vine that points to another Halloween-appropriate film, "The Exorcist."

And in the last 24 hours, both brands have debuted six-second animated spots that reference the frightful classic, "The Shining."

Digital shops Digitas (Procter & Gamble's Tide) and 360i (Mondelēz's Oreo) are behind the efforts.
