Facebook Makes 'Credits' Lone Gamer Currency

Facebook is starting to throw its weight around when it comes to game developers that are making a killing selling virtual goods on the social media platform.

According to TechCrunch, as of July 1, Facebook’s fledgling currency, Facebook Credits, will be the only way to pay for game play on the site. Individual games can maintain their own virtual currencies, such as FarmVille’s FarmBucks—but users can only pay for them with Facebook Credits.
