LOS ANGELES Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson has named Cathy Saidiner president of its office here, effective Nov. 17.
The title is new, and Saidiner, 42, takes over from Ian McGregor, who led McCann L.A. as gm since 2000. He is retiring, but will maintain an association with the shop as an advisor. McGregor is a 36-year veteran of IPG and has worked for the company’s holdings in South Africa, New York and Los Angeles.
Saidiner has for the past year been global account director on Pioneer Electronics at Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day.
