Business directory and crowdsourced review forum Yelp released its Trust & Safety Report for 2021 Wednesday, revealing that more than 19.6 million reviews were contributed to its platform in 2021.

The company said over 4.3 million of those reviews were not recommended by its recommendation software due to suspicions of conflicts of interest, fake reviews, less useful reviews or solicited reviews. Another 1.1 million-plus were removed for violating Yelp’s policies or taken down by the people who posted them.
