Shopping carts make the process of shopping at physical stores easier, and WhatsApp hopes its carts feature, introduced globally Tuesday, will do the same for online shoppers.

WhatsApp said in a blog post Tuesday that when users are messaging businesses on its platform that offer multiple products, they can browse those businesses’ catalogs, select multiple products and send their list as a single order in one message.

Not only does this ease the process for customers, but it enables businesses to keep track of orders and inquiries, manage requests and close sales.

Using WhatsApp carts is basically the same process as shopping on traditional ecommerce sites:

  • Tap the catalog button within a chat during a business to access its offerings.
