WhatsApp’s plan to bring Payments to Brazil is a go again following approval this week by Banco Central do Brasil.

WhatsApp began rolling out Payments across Brazil last June, with Facebook Pay as the backbone, saying at the time that the feature supported credit or debit cards from Banco Central do Brasil, Nubank and Sicredi on the Mastercard and Visa networks, and parent company Facebook was working with the country’s leading payments processor, Cielo.
