WhatsApp: How to Filter Your Chats to View Unread Messages

WhatsApp now allows users to filter their chats to only view conversations with unread messages.

Step 1: Tap “Chats” in the navigation menu at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Swipe down on the Chats screen to make the search bar appear near the top of the screen.

Step 3: Tap the filter icon (the triangular icon of three horizontal lines) to the right of the “Search” bar.
