WhatsApp brought some Hispanic media might to its fact-checking arsenal with the addition of Telemundo and TelevisaUnivision.
The Meta-owned messaging application’s global fact-checking program now includes more than 50 organizations using the WhatsApp Business app or Business API (application-programming interface) and certified by the International Fact-Checking Network.
WhatsApp said the partnership it revealed Tuesday is an extension of its previous collaboration with the IFCN, Telemundo and TelevisaUnivision on dual-language chatbot FactChat, which connected people with credible information about the U.S.
