Reddit opened up the waitlist for its new Reddit Developer Platform, calling it a suite of resources and tools that will empower and enable developers to support the platform’s 100,000-plus active communities and millions of users.
The company explained in a blog post, “Currently, third-party developers on Reddit operate primarily as siloed resources for the communities they care about, utilizing limited resources and ad-hoc support. The Reddit Developer Platform will change all of this. The platform will serve as an avenue for third-party developers to build meaningful Reddit extensions that our users will love.”
