Advertising spend in the U.K. is forecast to reach record levels during the Christmas period, outperforming the rest of Europe at $10.7 billion (7.9 billion pounds), a growth of almost a quarter.

The U.K. is expected to grow its ad spend by 24.8% this year during the weeks leading up to Christmas, according to research by the Advertising Association (AA) and WARC Expenditure Forecast which expects the average growth across EU5 markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the U.K.)
