Twitter will establish an internal data governance committee to bolster the implementation of its privacy and security policies and standards.

The committee will be tasked with ensuring that the company makes consistent and balanced decisions on steps it takes to use and protect user data.

It will oversee all decisions related to collecting, maintaining, using, disclosing or providing access to customer data internally, reviewing and approving updates to the social network’s privacy policy and ensuring that teams adhere to those policies.
