Twitter Scoops Up Team From News Aggregation App Brief

The team behind subscription-based news aggregation application Brief is joining Twitter, and the app will shutter after publishing its final bulletins July 31.

Terms were not disclosed.

Twitter vice president of engineering Nick Caldwell said in a series of tweets that the team from Brief will join the social network’s Experience unit and help accelerate it work across areas that support public conversation on the platform, including Twitter Spaces and the app’s Explore tab.
