Twitter said Wednesday that Professional Accounts are now available to all users globally.

The social network previewed this move last October, when it introduced Twitter for Professionals, which it described as a single destination for businesses, creators, developers and publishers across all industries to showcase their content, products and services directly on Twitter free-of-charge.

Professional Accounts provide access to tools that are not available to non-professionals, including advanced profile features, Quick Promote, ecommerce features being developed—including its Shop Module—and Twitter ads.

Users can swipe open the sidebar from the home timeline on the Twitter application and select the Switch to Professional tab under profile settings, at which point they will be prompted to select a category that fits their accounts, such as advertising/marketing, apparel/clothing, automotive or beauty.
