Twitter’s labels on the accounts of key government officials and state-affiliated media entities are coming to more countries.
These labels were introduced last August for the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council: China, France, the Russian Federation, the U.K. and the U.S.
On Feb. 17, they will be extended to Group of Seven countries, as well as to a majority of countries that Twitter has attributed state-linked information operations to.
The complete list is: Canada, Cuba, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, Honduras, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
