Twitter Extends its Accessibility Capabilities Through New Alt Text Feature

Twitter sits on top of a queue of demands for new features by users. It can cross off one of those since the social network announced last week that it extended its accessibility capabilities with two new in-application features that will allow users who may be blind or have trouble with vision to understand images in a tweet through text.

Users now have the ability to hover over the “ALT” badge in the corner of an exposed image on a timeline, and a description will pop up to be read out loud.
