The number 25 looms large in Twitter’s diversity, equity and inclusion plans.
The social network said Thursday that it is committing to the 25×25 pledge, an initiative led by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group to challenge companies to either fill 25% of executive roles with hires from underrepresented groups by 2025, or to boost the number of underrepresented individuals in leadership roles by 25% in the same time period.
The commitment builds upon plans Twitter detailed last March to have at least one-half of its global workforce made up of women by 2025, along with 25% by underrepresented individuals.
