Twitter Blue Reveals Significant Rate Hike

Twitter Blue now costs more green.

The social network began informing users of its subscription service that starting in October, the cost will rise from $2.99 per month to $4.99 per month, with the price hike also applicable in Australia (to 6.99 Australian dollars from 4.49), Canada (to 6.49 Canadian dollars from 3.49) and New Zealand (to 6.49 New Zealand dollars from 4.49).

New subscribers to Twitter Blue begin paying the higher rate right away.

The social network said in an email to Twitter Blue subscribers, “This change helps us continue to build some of the features you’ve been asking for, improve upon the current ones you already love and sustain our mission of supporting journalism.”
