Twitter is looking to establish a presence in Africa by actively building a team that will be based in Ghana.

Director of product management for global markets Uche Adegbite and product lead Kayvon Beykpour said in a blog post Monday that the company is looking to fill several roles on teams including communications, design, engineering, marketing and product, and all job listings can be found on the Twitter Careers site.

All new team members will be onboarded remotely due to the pandemic.

Adegbite and Beykpour explained the choice of Ghana by pointing to the nation’s support of free speech, online freedom and the open internet, as well as its recent designation as host of The Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
