Twitter: 3 of 4 People Who Come to Its Platform for News Do So at Least Once Daily

Twitter as a go-to source for news? That’s not news to Twitter.

The social network shared the results of internal studies, as well as collaborations with Pew Research Center, Sparkler and YouGov, predominantly with respondents in the U.S.

The research found that 94% of people on Twitter are interested in current events, with 85% saying they listen to, read or watch news at least once per day, and 83% saying they tweet about news.

Three out of four respondents who come to Twitter for news do so at least once daily, while 55% of people on Twitter get their news from Twitter more than other social platforms.
