Twitch: How to Add a Phone Number to Your Account

This gives the platform more ways to contact you

Twitch allows each user to add their phone number to their account. The streaming platform may use this number to contact the user through calls or text messages “with information regarding [their] account.”

Here’s how to add your phone number to your Twitch account from within the Twitch mobile application.

Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap “Settings.”

Step 3: Tap “Security & Privacy.”

Step 4: Tap “Phone.”

Step 5: Type your phone number and tap the “Next” button.

Step 6: Twitch will tell you that it will send a confirmation text message to the number you provided. Tap “Confirm” to continue.

You may be asked to enter your current account password for security purposes. If so, enter your password and tap “Next” in the top-right corner of the screen. Note: If you have two-factor authentication turned on for your account, you may also need to enter a two-factor authentication code to continue this process.

Step 7: Twitch will now send you a text message with a verification code. Enter the code and tap the “Submit” button to finish adding your phone number to your account.
