Instagrammers can now enlist some help in overseeing their Instagram Live videos.

Trusteed moderators can now be appointed, and they can perform tasks including reporting comments, removing viewers entirely from the Live video or turning off comments for a viewer.

Creators of Instagram Live videos can tap the three dots in the comment bar to begin the process of assigning a moderator, at which point they can use the search bar or choose from the list of suggested accounts.

An Instagram spokesperson said the goal is to enable creators of Live videos to focus on hosting positive discussions without the distractions of potentially unwanted interactions.
