TikTok joined the Technology Coalition, an organization aiming to protect children from online sexual exploitation and abuse.

The Technology Coalition was formed in 2006, and its other members are Adobe, Amazon, Apple, Cloudflare, Discord, Dropbox, Facebook, Flickr, GoDaddy, Google, Mega, Microsoft, PayPal, Pinterest, Roblox, Snap Inc., Twitter, Verizon, VSCO, Wattpad and Yubo.

TikTok already belonged to similar online safety organizations including ConnectSafely, DQ Institute, the Family Online Safety Institute, the Internet Watch Foundation, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and WeProtect
