If you’ve followed the WNBA or the Women’s National Soccer League over the years, you’re likely aware of the deep inequity that exists in sports coverage—and sports more generally. But it can still be a staggering experience to see this coverage gap distilled into striking visuals.

Agency Havas Lisbon recently teamed up with advocacy group Raparigas da Bola (which translates from Portuguese to “Ball Girls”) to launch the initiative #WomenAlsoPlay.

The team digitized three of Portugal’s most popular newspapers and replaced text and photos with two-toned infographics illustrating how male and female athletes were covered.
