The Week Publisher Dennis Acquired by Future for $416 Million

The deal includes 12 titles such as Coach, Kiplinger, Moneyweek and PC Pro

Specialist media company Future PLC has acquired the publisher of consumer and B2B titles such as The Week, Kiplinger and Money Week—Dennis Publishing—owned by venture capitalist Exponent, in a deal valued at $416 million (300 million pounds).

The deal is expected to be completed by October and includes The Week UK/The Week US, The Week Junior UK/The Week Junior US, MoneyWeek, Kiplinger, Science & Nature, IT Pro, Computer Active, PC Pro, Minecraft World and Coach.

Four titles not being acquired will be Viz, Fortean Times, Cyclist and Expert Reviews, which will be retained by Exponent.

Future already owns more than 115 magazines and 410 bookazines published each year across sectors such as technology, games and entertainment, sports, music, photography and design, homes & garden, country lifestyle, TV & film and b-to-b.
