Google named Tara Walpert Levy vice president, Americas at YouTube.

Levy will oversee the video platform’s global partnership strategy and execute that strategy across Brazil, Canada, Spanish Latin America and the U.S. with the aim of helping creators and media partners build audiences and foster engaged communities.

She succeeds Kelly Merryman, who left the company in September to join Aura, a provider of digital security solutions for consumers, as president and chief operating officer.
