Snap Details Updates to Lens Studio, Next-Generation Spectacles

Snap Inc. said during its Lens Fest 2021 virtual event this week that there are now more than 250,000 Lens Creators from over 200 countries and territories.

They have produced more than 2.5 million lenses, which Snapchatters have viewed over 3.5 trillion times, with more than 300 creators seeing one of their lenses tally over 1 billion views.

The company also introduced new capabilities for its Lens Studio and next-generation Spectacles camera sunglasses, as well as initiatives to help creators build careers and businesses on its augmented reality platform.

Additions to Lens Studio, released this week, include:

  • A new Sounds Library that enables creators to add millions of songs from Snapchat’s licensed music and audio clips to their lenses.
