Stock photography company Shutterstock has been growing as a media company recently. It continues to do so with the acquisition of content agency Splash News to bolster its editorial offer.

Splash News acts as a source of image and video content around celebrities, red carpet and live events for media brands, such as E! News, People, Daily Mail, TMZ, Dow Jones, Reach and News UK. The company works with over 4,000 photographers globally, with an image archive of more than 27 million pictures.
