Reddit rolled out an improved Best sort for the home feeds of mobile Redditors that uses machine learning algorithms to “constantly evolve and improve what posts you see.”

The platform’s old Best sort relied on the age of a post, downvotes, time spent in a community and upvotes to determine which posts to show users.

Reddit also overhauled the way content is recommended, showing Redditors similar posts they may like, rather than communities they may like.

Users can click the three dots menu to ask the platform to “show more posts like this” or “show fewer posts like this,” and the algorithm will take those choices into account.
