Reddit Tweaks Online Status Feature, Tests New Display for Flair’s Sake

Reddit tweaked the online status feature it recently introduced, adding the option for Redditors to disable the feature through any platform—the mobile web, its native applications, old Reddit and new Reddit—by going to their profile and clicking the Online Status button under their avatar.

When this is done, other users will not see any status at all, including an indicator that the person is offline or selected off.

Also, accounts blocked by Redditors will never see those Redditors’ online status, and if an account is banned from a community, the account holder will not be able to see the online status of anyone in that community.
