Reddit tweaked its icons for the web in order to improve accessibility (via contrasting outlines and fills to differentiate on/off states), interactions (standardized and increased sizes) and its user interface (putting the focus on the content, not the UI).

The platform said in a blog post detailing changes implemented between May 25 and June 8 that the new icons should be live on 100% of non-moderating surfaces, and it is working on mod surfaces and icons separately.

Reddit is also testing a mod view where moderators can easily access their mod queue and a feed of communities they moderate via the platform’s mobile application.
