Reddit is building and testing a new video player that will enable Redditors to view videos on-demand in a full-screen experience.

The platform said it is using its Reddit Public Access Network livestream video player as the foundation for the new experience, adding that Redditors have been asking for an improved native video experience for some time.

Reddit said it will soon roll out the new player to 2% of its Android and iOS users in order to gather more feedback and continue to make improvements in the weeks ahead.
