Reddit Taps Bank of America’s Allison Miller as Chief Information Security Officer

She will report directly to chief technology officer Chris Slowe

Allison Miller joined Reddit as chief information security officer and vice president of trust.

Miller had been senior vp of engineering at Bank of America, where she oversaw technology design and engineering delivery for the firm’s information security organization, addressing issues on the consumer side, including account security, authentication, fraud, malware, phishing and spam, as well as those affecting large platforms, such as application security, monitoring strategies, perimeter defenses and vulnerability management.

She also held technical and leadership roles at Google, Electronic Arts, Tagged/MeetMe, PayPal/eBay and Visa International.

At Reddit, she will report to chief technology officer Chris Slowe and oversee the safety and security teams, responsible for expanding trust and safety operations and data security, along with evolving programs to mitigate security challenges and risks.
