Android Invasion

Late last year, Android passed Apple’s iPhone OS to become the second most popular mobile phone operating system. Now, Android has passed RIM (Blackberry) to capture the most market share in the United States. As of February 2011, 33% of smartphone subscribers were using Android phones, 28.9% were using RIM, and 25.2% were using Apple.

Since November 2010, Android’s share of the market has increased 7%; RIM’s has decreased 4.6%, and Apple’s has increased 0.2%.
