Pinterest detailed its ongoing and new initiatives aimed at helping Pinners navigate mental health issues to mark Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

The platform debuted its compassionate search feature in July 2019, and it is currently available in 12 countries Pinterest said it will be extended to 11 more countries in the coming weeks: Argentina, Austria, Chile, Colombia, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Pinterest also provided an update on its philanthropic commitment to fund organizations that are focused on increasing awareness of mental health, saying that to date, it has invested $6 million with 26 “Purpose Partners.”

The company said people have turned to its platform to find encouragement and alleviate stress or anxiety, noting that when comparing the period of Feb.
