Neighborhood social network Nextdoor wants interactions on its platform to be, well, neighborly.

Its new popup Constructive Conversations Reminder, driven by machine learning and predictive technology, will appear during potentially heated conversations and provide tips on how to set the tone for a more empathetic discussion.

Nextdoor said its machine learning model considers the full conversation, rather than individual comments, to better understand context.

The Constructive Conversations Reminder began rolling out in the U.S. this week, with a global rollout expected in the coming weeks.
