Berlin, 9 October 2012 – De Gruyter has launched an innovative new partnership for open-access distribution with the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). A new study, “Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations in Europe: First Results from SHARE after the Economic Crisis,” will appear in mid-2013 as an open-access publication, meaning it will be available free of charge to researchers and decision-makers around the world.

“It is essential for our work that findings of importance for demographic policy be made freely accessible around the globe,” says Professor Axel Börsch-Supan, Coordinator of the SHARE project.
