Meta elevated Guy Rosen to chief information security officer, making him the first person to ever hold that role at Facebook’s parent company and adding him to the C-suite.

Rosen had been vice president of integrity. He joined then-Facebook in October 2013, working on its Internet.org initiative to connect people without online access, and then growth, before assuming his most recent role.

He confirmed the promotion in a tweet Monday, writing, “As CISO, I will continue to oversee and look across the breadth of safety and security risks the people who use our services, our company and industry face.
