DoorDash co-founder and CEO Tony Xu was elected as an independent member of Meta’s board of directors.
Xu has been CEO and a member of the board of directors at DoorDash since May 2013, and he was appointed chair of the board in November 2020.
Meta’s board now consists of:
- Peggy Alford, executive vice president, global sales, PayPal
- Marc Andreessen, co-founder and general partner, Andreessen Horowitz
- Drew Houston, co-founder and CEO, Dropbox
- Nancy Killefer, retired senior partner, McKinsey
- Robert Kimmitt, senior international counsel, WilmerHale and lead independent director
- Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer
- Peter Thiel, co-founder and partner, Founders Fund
- Tracey Travis, executive vp and chief financial officer, Estée Lauder
- Xu
- Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder and CEO
