Why take the long way when Shortcuts are available?

Messenger introduced Shortcuts Tuesday, a new command system to give users easier, quicker access to their favorite features in the Meta-owned messaging application.

The two Shortcuts that debuted Tuesday are:

  • @everyone: When a user starts a message in a group chat with @everyone, all members of that chat will be notified.

Messenger
  • /silent: Sending a message with /silent helps people avoid waking friends and family who may be in different time zones when sending them messages.
