Liz Kennedy joined Facebook as manager, voting rights, and she will serve as the civil rights team’s expert on voting rights and civics.

She had been senior policy advisor at the Center for Secure and Modern Elections, working on modernizing voter registration and making voting more accessible.

Prior to that, Kennedy was senior director of democracy and government reform at the Center for American Progress, where she worked on increasing voter participation and preventing voter suppression, fair redistricting, limiting the power of money in politics and defending the rule of law and constitutional democracy.

She also served as counsel and campaign strategist at Demos and as an attorney in the democracy program at the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law.
