Laura Nestler is joining the executive leadership team at Reddit as vice president of community.

Nestler had been global head of community at Duolingo since August 2016, where she worked across marketing, product and strategy to develop community products and community-focused global brand initiatives.

Prior to that, she spent nearly nine years at Yelp, crafting its original community growth playbook before shifting to international expansion, moving to London and Sydney.

At Reddit, Nestler will report to vp of product, design and community Alex Le and lead the platform’s community operations team, tasked with defining the company’s international community strategy, driving key initiatives for community development, evolving Reddit’s community governance model and taking the tam global.
